Access
YAMAYA is easily accessed by public transportation.
Nearby is JR Awa-Kawaguchi Station on the JR Dosan Line (service to this station is for local trains only, not express trains). It is about a 2 minute walk from the station to YAMAYA. After exiting the station, turn left and walk about 200 meters along the road past some shops, then turn right up the stairs and follow the signs.
In front of the station is also the Kawaguchi Eki-Mae Bus Stop, which has service to/from Ikeda as well as to/from Oboke and the Iya Valley.

By car, the closest highway exit to YAMAYA is the Ikawa-Ikeda IC exit in Ikeda. From here, go south 15 minutes on Rt 32 towards Kochi. At Rt 319 turn right and go 100 meters, then turn right again to go over the bridge.
**If you are using car navigation, do note that the Shingu IC exit may appear to be closer, however it is not as easy to travel to here via that exit. It is best to use Ikawa-Ikeda IC. Or, if coming from the south (from Kochi City area) then use Otoyo IC and from there drive north 45 minutes on Rt 32.
Parking is available in front of the Miyoshi City Office (Yamashiro Branch). Additional parking is also available at a large parking area next to the river down a small road that goes behind BIG SMILE Rafting.
